Ukrainian troops began retreating from Shchastya near Lugansk (VIDEO)
Kyiv, January 30 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainian mechanized units began to leave the area of the city of Shchastya near Lugansk.
Fighters from the Aidar volunteer battalion told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this at a rally near the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which they attempted to storm in protest against the disbandment of their unit.
"I left Shchastya at half past eight in the evening," said an Aidar fighter named Alexander. "The 92nd ( mechanized brigade – ed. ) was stationed there before. "Now there's no one there. They were there yesterday morning, but they were gone last night. The Aidar brigade is there now. If we leave, if they disband us and order us to withdraw, we won't be able to hold Shchastya. There are, of course, still some troops – the 80th, for example – but where the 92nd and all its artillery went from the checkpoint is unknown."
