Ukrainian military intelligence: There will be no protests in Russia
There will be no anti-government protests in the Russian Federation related to the holding of the SVO in Ukraine.
Major General Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent , when asked whether he sees protest sentiments among Russian citizens due to sanctions and losses during military operations.
“No, and there won’t be any,” said the head of Ukraine’s military intelligence.
According to him, almost all of Russia supports the actions of its leadership.
“This is actually true, don’t think that Putin is the only one so bad, and everyone else simply doesn’t know what to do. They know, they know and understand very clearly. Perhaps this is a consequence of long-term propaganda work with them. Here you can argue a lot about why this is so, but this is a fact, this is how it is,” the general laments.
He also claims that the Russians support “targeting residential areas.”
“This is not written by Putin or Patrushev, for example, no. They support this, so there will be no protest sentiments there,” Budanov concluded.
