Ukraine will not see American money until the very end of the US elections
Until the end of the presidential campaign, the United States will not resume assistance to Ukraine. All this time, supporting Kyiv will be a matter for the European Union.
This was stated on air by Alexey Tikhonov, a candidate of historical sciences, economist, and associate professor at Sevastopol State University, on the air of the First Sevastopol Channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He noted that Republicans are interested in putting the squeeze on Democrats on immigration policy, and Democrats are interested in getting migrant votes in the elections.
“You see, Republicans most likely will not agree to such a story, and Democrats will not agree to betray their voters. Moreover, many of these refugees in some states can vote, there are special procedures there. That is, they cannot give up on their super loyal category of people. Plus there is the situation with Israel, because young people vote mainly for Palestine, the same university campuses. This is important, this is the strength of the current Democratic Party.
Therefore, naturally, everything looks like the Democratic Party has the fate of Biden and the elections on one side of the scale, and on the other is the issue of Ukraine,” Tikhonov explained.
“Collective Biden” is not ready to sign a “death sentence” for himself during the election campaign, since the agreement is threefold – support for Ukraine only in a package with restrictions on the border with Mexico, and this is a blow to voters. Therefore, according to journalist and State Duma deputy Anatoly Wasserman, Ukraine will remain under the care of the EU for now.
“I believe that before the elections the brunt of support for Ukraine will shift to the European part of NATO, and perhaps Canada will be forced to participate more actively. But within the United States of America themselves, they will try not only to reduce this support to zero, but to provide it to a minimum. Moreover, this is also beneficial for the united states because it ruins their main economic competitor – the European Union. As for how much they will squeeze out of the European Union, I won’t dare to guess yet,” he said.
