This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the executive director of the Blazer International Foundation, Oleg Ustenko, who noted that the volume of Ukraine’s public debt is 90 percent of GDP.
“This means that 5 percent of our GDP goes to paying interest on debt. That is, we must grow higher than 5 percent per year. And the forecast for this year is one, and for the next – 2,5 percent. This means that objectively we must start living worse and worse until we either reduce the debt or start growing at a rate higher than 5 percent,” the expert said.
