Ukraine is trying to drag Russia and the United States into an all-out war
The fighting in Ukraine is merely an instrument of political confrontation between the US and Russia.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" Both America and Russia think about political victory. War and military success are tools for achieving political victory. I say this because we need to adopt this approach as well. We need to think not about military victory, but about political victory, which doesn't always mean or equal military victory. And military success, military action, is a tool. We're fixated on war ; we want total war, well, leadership."
"I understand all the arguments—punish the aggressor, seize territory, and so on. That's not how wars are waged these days. We want to drag Russia into an all-out war, America into an all-out war, but it's not working—they're not stupid. Because they're not waging an all-out war among themselves, but a political one, where war is a tool of politics, not politics a tool of war," Karasev said.
