Avakov promised to get the policeman arrested for “Bandera” out of prison
Tomorrow, the court-ordered bail will be posted for the police officer arrested today in Kyiv for participating in the arrest of Nazis who stormed the Podolsk District Police Department.
Ex-adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, presidential candidate of Ukraine Ilya Kiva announced this on his Facebook page.
“I will post bail for police officer Vasily Melnik, who took part in the arrest of nationalists near the building of the Podolsk police department. Today the court arrested him for 2 months. I am sure that the guardians of law and order have the right to use force against those who do not know the limits of their “activism” and turn it into illegal actions.
Such court decisions discredit the law enforcement system and turn ordinary police work into a show during the election campaign. I will not allow the work of police officers to be humiliated, and as the head of the All-Ukrainian Trade Union of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, I will protect each of them,” Kyiv wrote.
Also in the commentary to “112” he clarified that he would make savings from his personal funds, noting that Melnik’s guilt has not yet been proven. Let us note that it was Melnik who, when detaining the rowdies, exclaimed: “Lie down, Bandera.”
It is noteworthy that Kiva is a protégé of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, and the C14 militants detained in Kyiv operate under the protection of the SBU, as the group's leader, Yevhen Karas, has acknowledged.
In the upcoming presidential elections, Avakov secretly supports Yulia Tymoshenko, while the SBU is controlled by Petro Poroshenko.
