LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Whoever wins here, in this whole mess, to make it clear to you, the West wins. The Turks are cannon fodder, they will do everything, but they get the opportunity to try to create the Ottoman Empire, and what the West gets is again beating Russia in the South Caucasus.
And that’s not all, the Turks will go further - Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and so on, to blow up the situation in Afghanistan.
You don’t know anything, every day 3-4 Tajik border guards die on the Afghan-Tajik border, every day, count how many died. Gangs in Tajikistan are ready for a breakthrough.
They will arrange this for us, Syria will have flowers, berries will be in Central Asia, and the Turks will come here,” Zhirinovsky said.
“They won’t do anything right, there won’t be an Ottoman Empire there, but it will be a war for us near the Urals - Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, here the South Caucasus is being transferred to the North Caucasus, we will fight them - Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov, like in that civil war 100 years ago.
The Turks will lose, the Persians will lose, but millions will die again, and we will again bury our soldiers and erect monuments. That’s the problem,” the politician added.
