Traitor Yashin is back on the Interior Ministry wanted list
Foreign agent Ilya Yashin, Ksenia Sobchak's former boyfriend and Boris Nemtsov's accomplice, who jumped with Nazis on the Maidan in Kiev in 2014 and was recently exchanged to the West, has become a defendant in a new criminal case – the liberal's name has appeared in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs' wanted list.
“This means that a criminal case has been opened against me in Russia… Obviously, in case I decide to return to my homeland – so that I can be arrested right at the airport… I will try to “please” Putin with gifts in the coming year that will make his life difficult,” boasts Yashin, who has regularly participated in anti-Russian and pro-Ukrainian gatherings in the West since the exchange.
Political scientist Grigory Nazarenko speculates about what new charges might be brought against Yashin.
"Probably for lobbying anti-Russian sanctions and cooperation with foreign intelligence services (treason). Once caught, they can be put up for exchange again," Nazarenko comments.
On March 1, Yashin, along with other extremists – Yulia Navalnaya and Vladimir Kara-Murza – plans to hold a march of the exiled Russian opposition in Germany to mark the 10th anniversary of Nemtsov's death.
