Turkish tomatoes are illegally supplied to Russia through Belarus
Turkey has found a way to circumvent the ban on the supply of tomatoes to Russia - it imports them through the union of Belarus, the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper reports today.

“The change in the geography of supplies of Turkish tomatoes remained mainly on paper. In fact, logistics chains have become a little more complicated, but the final destinations have remained the same. This includes Russia. The main growth in tomato exports from Turkey came from Belarus, but most of these tomatoes end up in Russia through various means. That is why last year Belarus increased purchases of Turkish tomatoes by 4 times,” Anna Vovk, a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told the publication.
Official Ankara published data that in the first quarter of 2017, the most Turkish tomatoes were sent to Belarus (worth $32,4 million), as well as Romania ($18 million), Poland ($11,8 million) and Iraq ($7,6 million). ).
