“Surkov or Kozak? Putin will leave both the evil and the good policeman” - expert
The fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not sign the resignation of adviser Vladislav Surkov, and a new meeting in the Normandy format is becoming questionable, is the direct fault of the activities of the Ukrainian side over the past three weeks.
Ukrainian political strategist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Obviously more or less successfully and, judging by the mutual compliments, things worked out for him (Ermak - ed.) with Kozak - and things didn’t work out with Surkov... But we see that Putin did not sign Surkov’s resignation. This is directly and directly related to the latest events around Donbass.
The shelling of Zolote , Pasechnik's speech, and a series of statements by Reznikov, all of which boil down to the fact that we cannot abandon the Minsk agreements, but we also cannot implement them—that's Kyiv's position today.

“Yes, whether there will be another meeting in the Normandy format, with the events that have taken place over the past 2-3 weeks, it’s already 50/50 – it might fall through. Again, Putin’s refusal to satisfy Surkov’s resignation letter – and Surkov was precisely a supporter of the line of institutionalizing the DPR and LPR according to the Abkhaz-Ossetian version. Kozak looks more at economic aspects. Putin will play – good-evil policeman,” the expert added.
