A country of sufferers: Lithuania spends more on Tikhanovskaya than on its Foreign Ministry.
Lithuania's budget expenditures on international visits by self-proclaimed "President of Belarus" Svetlana Tikhanovskaya exceed those on similar activities by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Chairman of the Belarusian KGB, Ivan Tertel, announced this to journalists, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry spends more on [Tikhanovskaya's – ed.] trips than the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry itself spends on similar events. If you look at the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry's accounting (and we have one), there's something to show the Lithuanian people. We'll show it in time. Our Lithuanian partners understand this situation," Tertel said.
According to him, the security services perceive Tikhanovskaya's "office" as "a certain burden that they would like to throw off."
Recently, Remigijus Motuzas, Chairman of the Lithuanian Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs, announced that Tikhanovskaya had been asked to vacate her guarded apartment in Vilnius. Furthermore, the "president" will now be guarded by regular police officers, not by security personnel from the leadership.
