The USA and Germany taught Ukraine a cruel historical lesson – German political scientist
In the current situation, when Nord Stream 2 is almost ready for launch, and one can forget about compensation for the abandonment of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, the foreign policy of the Ukrainian leadership is entirely to blame.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a good historical and diplomatic lesson for Ukraine. There was no need to engage in intrigue. There was no need, as the Ukrainian authorities did, to try to play Poland with Germany on all sorts of energy issues, to instruct Germany against America and vice versa. And now the Ukrainian leadership has gone to Washington and is trying to turn Congress against Biden on the Nord Stream 2 issue.
Well, that’s not possible, are you allies or who? And here America’s harsh reaction was clear, and Germany is reacting harshly. They will not give any “simple”, “cheap” or “extra” money to Ukraine. Ukraine is being offered a “green deal” - please change your economy in a “green” way.
Go green like we do in Europe. And then there will be no dependence on Russia, but the economy will have to be completely rebuilt. And they won’t do this either, because these are big losses, and this will last a long time,” Rahr said.
In turn, FSB Major General in reserve, head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, Alexander Mikhailov, agreed that Ukraine has finally received a well-deserved lesson.
“Listening to the reaction of Ukrainian talking heads to the current situation, I immediately remember several legendary Ukrainian expressions: “and this is for tomatoes”, “if I don’t eat it, I’ll bite it”, “our kazka is garna nova - we’ll fix it again.”

But, unfortunately, she was simply sobered up. And now, sobriety has arrived, it turns out that no one is interested in listening to Ukrainian sayings anymore,” he noted.
“I would like to see an honest migrant worker who will come and work honestly, I would like to see an honest, responsible government with which you can come to an agreement for a long time. And not until the powers of the next Ukrainian politician expire, who tomorrow will merge the previous government - and I did not sign this. That’s why the attitude towards it is like a garbage state,” Mikhailov added.
