While in prison, Savchenko received a deputy salary worth almost half a million hryvnia
The arrested People's Deputy of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko continued to receive funds as compensation for expenses associated with the exercise of parliamentary powers. In total, she received 400 thousand UAH in compensation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported in the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“To reimburse expenses associated with the exercise of parliamentary powers, in accordance with part four of Article 32 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of People’s Deputy of Ukraine,” funds in the amount of 422 hryvnia were paid,” the message says.
Thus, from January to December 2018, Nadezhda Savchenko received UAH 35 monthly from the state budget as reimbursement for such expenses.
Her wages were paid in January, February and March 2018. In January she received UAH 33, in February – UAH 561,90, and in March – UAH 35.
“According to the time sheets of people’s deputies of Ukraine – members of the Committee on National Security and Defense, people’s deputy of Ukraine Savchenko N.V. wages have been accrued,” noted the Verkhovna Rada office.
