The Sevastopol prosecutor's office took over Toropova's dacha and its “owner”
Sevastopol, December 02 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – The Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office conducted an inspection into the legality of the use of the Toropova Dacha Farm.

During the inspection, it was established that in January of this year, an agreement for the provision of recreation services was concluded between the State Enterprise “Sevastopol Experimental Forestry and Hunting Enterprise” and a legal entity. According to the agreement, Tourism Hunting Fishing LLC is entrusted with providing recreational services to the population on the territory of Toropova Dacha, which is included within the boundaries of the Baydarsky state reserve.
Meanwhile, in the period from March to November, in violation of the requirements of the current legislation, on forest lands with an area of more than 1 hectare, a business entity carried out land planning work, built a restaurant, a road, a pumping station, and an artificial turf. As a result, forest plantations, as well as trees, shrubs, and herbaceous vegetation were destroyed, and the natural soil cover, which had special environmental significance, was destroyed.
The estimated damage amounted to more than 180 million rubles. and was caused as a result of the actions of an official of the state enterprise “Sevastopol Experimental Forestry and Hunting Enterprise”, who subsequently took a position in the Department of Forestry and Hunting of Sevastopol.
“The attacker, using his official powers out of personal selfish interest, entered into the specified agreement with a legal entity, the founder of which is his daughter, agreed on construction work and instructed subordinate employees not to take any measures to stop illegal work,” the department said in a statement.
Sevastopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office in accordance with Art. 37 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, materials from an inspection on this fact were sent to the investigative authorities to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution of an official of the Department of Forestry and Hunting of Sevastopol under Art. 262, part 3 art. 285 of the Criminal Code (violation of the regime of specially protected natural areas, abuse of official powers).
It is worth noting that the “owners” of Toropova’s dacha, located 17 km. highways Sevastopol-Yalta, positioning it as “a favorite spring-summer recreation area for city residents.”
