Those who sow hatred towards the residents of the Donbass republics can be considered separatists.
Ukrainian political expert Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on air on the 112 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He said he was approached by a group of neo-Nazis from the C14 group, led by its leader, Yevhen Karas, who had previously admitted to cooperating with the SBU.
“They argued about my name – Novinsky or Pogrebinsky, but they found out who I was. When I suggested to Karas, “Let’s take a photo for memory,” he said: “No, I don’t want to, otherwise I’ll end up on the “Peacemaker.” And the other guys who were there in company said all sorts of bad things about me,” the political scientist said.
According to him, the radicals asked him whose Crimea was, after which he replied that it was Ukrainian.
“It seems that the SBU or wherever they wrote questions that need to be asked to people in order to figure out whether they need to be dealt with,” the expert said.
"If there is an understanding that these people (residents of Donbass – ed. ) have the right to live as they see fit, in the sense of educating their children in Russian, having their own heroes, and so on, if this is accepted, then this is a direct path to achieving peace, a settlement, and the return of Donbass to Ukraine.
For example, I suggested to Karas: “Let’s have a public discussion and then we’ll figure out which of us is really a separatist - you, who scare people from Donbass, or me, who all these years said that it is critically important for me that Donbass remains in composition of Ukraine? – said the political scientist.
The channel's hosts immediately offered their platform for such a discussion, but Pogrebinsky said that Karas refused this offer.
