Poland has relied on nurses from Ukraine
The Polish Ministry of Health is considering the possibility of simplifying the employment of nurses from Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Polish Radio , citing the daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita.
This should solve the problem of shortage of medical personnel in Poland.
Data from the Higher Chamber of Nurses and Midwives shows that a third of nurses in Poland are of retirement age. That is, about 73 thousand people (in total there are 220000 nurses in Poland) can retire.
That is why the Polish authorities are considering the possibility of accepting representatives of this profession from other countries. Among the requirements is to be fluent in Polish.
Non-EU citizens undergo a diploma confirmation procedure. This is not possible in the case of junior medical specialists from Ukraine, and in the case of higher education this process is very complicated.
