One of the most dangerous trends of the newly created church organization in Ukraine is “simony,” especially considering that its creator is the businessman Petro Poroshenko.
Viktor Nebozhenko, director of the Ukrainian Barometer sociological service, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“One of the most dangerous trends of the new autocephalous church is simony. This is an ancient way of selling church positions and parishes for money.
It will be very dangerous if the people who are now involved in the church are actively involved in this, especially the experienced businessman, President-oligarch Poroshenko, begins to seduce the young 30-year-old Epiphanius by selling church positions,” Nebozhenko said.
