The policy of the Majlis is the policy of destabilization and war, - Crimean political scientists
Simferopol, April 23 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – There is no more destabilizing factor in Crimea than the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars; the illegitimate structure seeks to significantly increase the degree of tension on the peninsula by May 18.

Crimean political scientists Andrei Nikiforov and Alexander Formanchuk told Navigator about this, commenting on the latest scandalous statements by People’s Deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev and the Presidium of the Majlis.
“Dzhemilev went on another Crimean tour. A scandal on such a tour is the best advertising. Such cheap moves indicate how low the authority of the Majlis has fallen. Regarding the dissolution of self-defense, the Mejlis has no right to say anything, since it is not a legitimate body and does not have official status even under Ukrainian legislation. Statements that self-defense will destabilize something there are not even rudeness... I don’t know what to call it. Because there is no more destabilizing factor in Crimea than the Mejlis itself,” Andrei Nikiforov is convinced.
“The Majlis’ statements about the need for self-defense indicate that it feels uncomfortable when self-defense units are working in Crimea. This constrains their certain initiatives. The Mejlis follows the lead of the Ukrainian leadership and the guidelines dictated by Dzhemilev. Thus, the policy of the Majlis in this regard is a policy of war, because Ukraine actually presents relations with Russia this way. It is not difficult to assume that the Majlis will increase such a policy and by May 18 will try to bring it to a sufficiently high degree of tension,” believes, in turn, Alexander Formanchuk.
