In order to hide another non-combat loss in a Ukrainian Armed Forces unit, the brigade commander decided to present the deceased serviceman as a “suicide.”
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Dmitry Astrakhan announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, the DPR NM intelligence continues to receive information about the concealment of non-combat losses of the Ukrainian army from the JFO command.
“On September 6, at one of the shooting ranges in the area of the settlement of Mariupol, as a result of violation of safety requirements, a soldier of the 36th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Krivenko was killed during training shooting. It is worth noting that brigade commander Gnatov decided to report this serviceman as having left the unit without permission. In the future, the discovery of the body of the specified serviceman will be traditionally announced with the wording “suicide,” said Dmitry Astrakhan.
He also addressed the parents of Ukrainian military personnel whose children were sent to the “Joint Forces Operation” zone with a call to take all measures to protect them from the lawlessness happening in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
