Why is Moscow silent?
Moscow has not yet developed a new model of relations with Ukraine, where Vladimir Zelensky won the presidential election.
Kommersant writes about this, recalling that, speaking on March 18 in Crimea, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that “the Russian and Ukrainian peoples have never quarreled,” and there are problems “only with the current leadership of Ukraine, with whom it is hardly possible to cook porridge."

“But “today’s leadership” is packing its bags, and the Ukrainian people have made their choice. So will we still cook porridge with the new leadership of Ukraine? “Apparently, the pause that has arisen reflects the unresolved nature of this main issue. The viability of the previous confrontational model of relations with Ukraine with polished formulations and familiar clichés addressed to the “Poroshenko regime” - the same model to which many in Moscow are accustomed - is no longer so obvious.
And a new model, indicating what we really want from Ukraine and its president, given his window of opportunity, apparently has not yet been developed,” the publication believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov explained why it is premature to talk about Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulating Ukrainian election winner Volodymyr Zelensky.
