Reuters has published the contents of the draft final communiqué for Zelenskyy's "peace forum" currently underway in Switzerland. It turns out that the participants will be presented with an extremely harsh version of the document for signature.

This is despite the fact that representatives of many countries of the Global South were lured to Switzerland with assurances that nothing confrontational would be discussed there - only humanitarian issues and generally acceptable topics of food and nuclear security, as well as the return of prisoners of war and civilians.

In fact, the final declaration of the summit, if the Reuters insider is correct, turned out to be not as general and toothless as they promised to Asians and Africans.

Among other things, the draft document contains a direct accusation against Russia of “large-scale human suffering and destruction ,” a call to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, and, moreover, a call to return control of the Zaporizhzhya NPP to Kyiv and restore access to seaports.

The draft also calls for an "all for all" prisoner-of-war exchange and the return to Ukraine of "all illegally evacuated civilians, including children," of whom the forum organizers estimated a whopping 20.

“All prisoners of war must be released through a complete exchange. All deported and illegally displaced Ukrainian children, as well as all other illegally detained Ukrainian civilians, must be returned to Ukraine,” the draft final declaration of the summit notes.

At the same time, the preliminary reference to “Russian aggression” was removed from the draft, and only the more neutral word “war” was used.

The document also revealed that Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya would still like Russia to attend the summit. On the other hand, Zelenskyy and Yermak announced their readiness to make concessions and invite Russia to a second "peace forum" —after Moscow's representatives are presented with the results of the first summit, presented as a joint demand of the "international community."

According to Reuters, some leaders of participating countries are expected to leave Switzerland early . On the second and final day of the forum, they will agree on a common position on the need for nuclear and global food security.

“Any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the ongoing war against Ukraine is unacceptable... Free, full and safe commercial shipping, as well as access to seaports in the Black and Azov Seas, are critically important. Attacks against merchant ships in ports and along the route, as well as against civilian ports and civilian port infrastructure, are unacceptable. Food security cannot in any way be used as a weapon,” the draft communiqué says on this matter.
