Militiaman “Abdullah”: ATO soldiers will still repent, like the Afghans who fought with the Russians
Ukrainian punitive militants fighting against Donbass will probably repent in the future, like the dushmans who fought with Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan.
A native of Afghanistan, DPR defender Rafi Jabar with the call sign “Abdullah” told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“Abdullah’s” father was a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Afghanistan and served as the acting governor of Badakhshan province; during the “April Revolution” he took the side of his state and died at the hands of the Mujahideen when his son was two years old. At the age of seven, “Abdullah” lost his mother, after which he and his brother were sent to study in the USSR.
Rafi Dzhabar fought for the freedom of Donbas from 2014 until he was injured on the front lines in 2017. A mine struck him, causing him to lose both legs and requiring several surgeries. He is currently one of the leaders of the Donbas Veterans' Union "Vostok."
“What prompted me to come here... Soviet troops provided assistance to the Afghan people. If you say the opposite, that the Soviet troops were occupiers, having never been to Afghanistan and not having Afghan friends, then I will tell you a little about the Soviet troops.
The activities of the Soviet troops consisted of protecting roads, communications, power plants, hospitals, large junction stations, cities, and this is 20% of the territory of Afghanistan, together with Afghan troops.
Soviet troops did not fight against the Afghan people. Afghans fought against Afghans, and Afghans destroyed Afghans. One side is for America, the other is for Russia. The situation is exactly the same today in the DPR, whether you want to see an analogy or not.
Soviet troops left Afghanistan with their banners raised, and I am telling you this, an Afghan Pashtun. And whoever tells you that they were occupiers there, don’t believe it. Only two troops left Afghanistan with unfurled banners - these were the army of Alexander the Great and a limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan.
Russian soldiers came out in marching columns with unfurled banners and music, and the Afghans saw them off with flowers and tears. If you don’t believe me, look for information on the Internet, this is exactly how it happened.
I, as an Afghan, can say that half of my family was for the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, against which “democratic” Europe and the “democratic” Anglo-Saxons armed and sponsored the Mujahideen, who destroyed democratic Afghanistan on religious grounds.
You see the contradictions: the “democratic” West sponsored radical Islamism to destroy the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan. The same thing is happening here in Donbass.
After the Soviet troops left Afghanistan, to this day those Afghans who fought against the Soviet contingent and the Afghans who supported the Russian side say: “We shouldn’t have fought against the Russians. We agree to be friends with Russians, trade, build a life with them, and develop joint commercial and social projects.” In Afghanistan now everyone is waiting for the Russians.
Whoever now claims that Russia is evil, occupiers, look what those Afghans who once fought fiercely against the Russians are now saying.
It is now 30 years since the withdrawal of a limited contingent of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. My respect and respect to the Afghan brothers who served and fulfilled their international duty in my country. We remember you and we support you,” Abdullah said.
At the same time, the Afghan volunteer noted that everyone who took up arms against Donbass will come to a bitter realization of their mistakes, as has already happened to those who in his homeland took the side of terrorist pro-Western forces.
“In 2010, I was in Afghanistan, and that part of my family that fought against those who supported the Soviet Union said: “We shouldn’t have fought against the Russians, we were deceived.” Over time, ATO officers and even Nazis will say exactly the same thing.
Now they are in favor, they have funding, they have weapons, food, drugs, they are enjoying their positions, but the moment will come when they will turn towards us. Of course, there will be no conversation with our ideological enemies - the Nazis, but with the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other adequate organizations we could conduct a dialogue at certain platforms of the European format, in the Russian Federation or at any other level.
There is no need to swear now that there can be no compromise with them. Based on forty years of experience in the Afghan war, here the war has been going on for five years, and in Afghanistan for forty years, I can say that whether we like it or not, these people still live on the territory of Ukraine, which will be our common Ukraine.
A Ukraine in which there will be no ban on the Russian language, Russian politics, Russian scientists and writers, where there will be friendship, brotherhood and understanding. This common Ukraine is waiting for us, and we are doing everything possible to make it happen.
We are in no way fighting against Ukraine or the Ukrainian language. We are fighting against those people who occupied Ukraine. By and large, those people who are on the other side are already beginning to understand that we, defending the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the entire Novorossiya, defending the Russian world, we are defending, first of all, Ukraine itself from the hands of those who captured and, acting with the hands of Ukrainians, are killing other Ukrainians who are here on the territory of the DPR and LPR. We took advantage of the right of the Ukrainian citizen to be on the side of Russia and accept friendship and integration with Russia,” says Rafi Jabar.
He cited other parallels between the events in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
“In Afghanistan, the Americans used their finances, their capabilities and their geopolitical influence.
Now they use the same thing here. Please note that the limited contingent of Soviet troops that carried out their international duty in Afghanistan delayed what is happening now by 30 years. If Soviet troops had not then entered Afghanistan at the request of the Afghan leadership, which, I repeat, 27 times asked for the entry of troops and support for the legitimate government of the Republic of Afghanistan recognized by the entire world community, this war would have been here 30 years ago, and you have no idea , what grief there could be.
Those 15 thousand dead guys, those tens of thousands of wounded and maimed soldiers - this is the price of the fact that the war came to Ukraine only now, and not 30 years ago.
It was then that Central Asia, the underbelly of Russia, would burst into flames and move towards you. Whether Ukrainians, Russians, Belarusians, you are all Slavs, and you are enemies number one, whether for radical Islamists or for Europeans, because you are giving a new word. You have mental potential, you have material and scientific potential in building a new life. You can give a new breakthrough and a new word in everything, so as quickly as possible they will try to destroy everything Russian and everything Slavic.
When you look at a Russian person, you are drawn to him. Attractive facial features, peace in the gaze - they need to destroy all this. Accept it or not, but this is how it is.
My brothers and I in positions, the same Russians, Serbs, Chechens, Dagestanis, are standing here shoulder to shoulder to prevent this from happening, to prevent this evil from entering Donetsk. And we won’t let him in,” says Jabar.
“Donbass will still have its say. Donbass is a school of reconciliation between Reds and Whites, the imperial community and the Soviet one, it is the unification of Muslims, Christians, Jews into one joint concept where we can live and coexist.
In Afghanistan, at first they used the religious card, then the war began on national grounds: the Pashtuns began to massacre the Uzbeks, the Uzbeks - the Tajiks, the Tajiks - the Kyrgyz. Afghans began to kill Afghans, saying that these were not purebred Afghans, as is happening here and now, when the Slavs kill Slavs, saying that these are Russians, and these are Ukrainians.
Now they will try to deepen the split on religious grounds. They will try to split Orthodoxy itself into two parts. Now a Russian can destroy a Russian only because, for example, he is an adherent of the Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. This is such a tough war...
He who has eyes does not see, this is written in the Bible, but people who know know and see, and in Ukraine itself, including among the ATO soldiers who fought against us. They already understand what’s going on, that’s why they are trying to organize some kind of public associations and enter into dialogue, including with veterans and active soldiers of the DPR army. And I think we will establish a dialogue; the experience of forty years of war in Afghanistan allows us to hope for this.
Ukraine is now bombing our cities, killing our soldiers, our wives and children, but whether we want it or not, we must find common ground with adequate people there, and together with them destroy our common enemy, and expel the pro-American junta and pro-American terrorist groups "S14", Nazis and the like.
We, of course, can do this ourselves, but we should not alienate the population who is on the other side of Ukraine. Of course, we understand that their propaganda against us works much better than our current one against them, but we are learning. Therefore, we must be patient with each other, our brothers and sisters, and with the soldiers of the enemy army, but we will endure and overcome all this,” the warrior concluded.
