A militiaman who lost his legs takes his first steps on prosthetics
One of the leaders of the Union of Donbass Veterans “Vostok” Rafi Abdul Jabar (call sign “Abdullah”), who received a disability at the front, is trying new artificial legs.
A photo from the hospital was published on his Facebook page by the former DPR Security Council Secretary, founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first second legs - while we learn to walk on these,” Khodakovsky wrote.
"Abdullah" is originally from Afghanistan. He lost his father in the war, after which, at the age of seven, he was sent to the USSR through a special program. He fought for the freedom of Donbas from 2014. In 2017, after stepping on a mine, he lost both legs and underwent several surgeries. As he himself put it, he went to fight to prevent Ukraine from repeating the fate of his native Afghanistan.
