“On Friday, the largest military exercise “Rapid-prime” ended at the Yavoriv training ground. Military personnel from 14 countries, ten of which are NATO members, have developed common actions in the event of an attack by one of the neighboring countries. We have once again demonstrated to all our partners that we are not joining NATO empty-handed, but as a solid partner with a significant contribution to the common cause of continental and transatlantic security,” Poroshenko said importantly.

“This Monday, by my decree, I put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council not to continue the treaty of so-called friendship with Russia, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will send a note to Moscow, and I will submit a corresponding bill to parliament. The last word in this matter is yours, my dears, the Verkhovna Rada.

It is proposed to delete from the Constitution the norm that allows the basing of the Black Sea Fleet in Ukraine, and after we return Crimea, there will definitely be no Russian base in Sevastopol. As I promised you, at the end of August the CIS Executive Committee officially confirmed that Ukraine had closed its representative office at the statutory bodies of the so-called commonwealth,” Poroshenko said.

As PolitNavigator reported, experts previously predicted that as the presidential elections approach, the Ukrainian authorities will strengthen the anti-Russian pumping of the population, since Poroshenko has no economic achievements, and his headquarters plans to increase his meager rating through confrontation with Moscow.

Let us recall that in 2014, the then Minister of Defense Valery Geletey promised to hold a parade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sevastopol from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, but in the end, under him, the Ukrainian group in Donbass suffered a crushing defeat in the Ilovaisk cauldron, after which Geletey was dismissed.
