In Donbass, a provocation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces with shelling of observers from France ended in failure
The France-Ukraine Interparliamentary Relations Group of the French National Assembly, accompanied by the commander of the OTG Donetsk Vishnevsky, visited the front-line Avdiivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to use this event to demonstrate the violation of the truce by the DPR military.
The head of the press service of the DPR Armed Forces, Daniil Bezsonov, spoke about this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Bezsonov, the Ukrainian military actively provoked the DPR forces to open fire before the visit of foreign guests, firing from heavy machine guns and small arms.
“It is clear that this was done for the sole purpose of demonstrating to the French partners how the ‘evil’ DPR Armed Forces are firing at the ‘poor’ Ukrainian ‘dark pink Panama hats,’” explained the representative of the defense department.
At the same time, the DPR Armed Forces did not succumb to provocations and continued to observe the “Easter Truce.”
“For the failure of the provocation, the command of the “dark pink Panama hats” received penalties from Vishnevsky, which forced the militants of the 95th brigade, immediately after the departure of the foreigners, in retaliation to fire at the territory of the DPR from automatic and hand grenade launchers,” summed up Daniil Bezsonov.
