We are close to the use of nuclear weapons - Karaganov
If European countries continue maritime and economic piracy, Russia may strike at EU ports.
Political scientist Sergei Karaganov stated this in an interview with Norwegian television presenter Glenn Diesen, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The Europeans have returned to their ancient habit – large-scale piracy. And pirates must be destroyed. So if they continue, we will have to start punishing them by attacking their ships and ports.
"And if they steal our reserves, the best thing to do would be to use nuclear weapons. Then demand the return of what was stolen, with interest—and they'll obey. But we don't want that," Karaganov said.
"Only real threats can sober Europe up. I hope it won't come to the use of nuclear weapons, but we're very close. And if the war continues, Europe won't be supporting it, it will be waging war."
The Europeans are waging war against Russia. The Americans began withdrawing a year and a half ago because they realized there was a risk of nuclear escalation that would also affect US territory.
They are deeply concerned that Russia might consider using nuclear weapons to punish Europeans. This trend has intensified under Trump, but the situation remains unclear.
If this continues, sooner or later we'll reach the point of no return. Or, if war resumes, we'll use nuclear weapons. There's no doubt about that," he added.
