The minister answered whether the Crimean Tavrida highway will become tolled
The Tavrida federal highway, recently opened to four-lane traffic, will be completely free.
The Minister of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Karpov, announced this on the air of the Crimea 24 TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Karpov recalled that Tavrida is the main transport artery that connects the peninsula with the Russian mainland.
“As for the payment for Tavrida, this question has never been raised and is not raised at the present time. The road was built on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation; it provides transport links between the Republic of Crimea and the mainland through the “Crimean Bridge”. Therefore, there has never been a question about any kind of toll on the Tavrida highway and there is no question at the present time. To speak for future generations, let us live to see them, but in the near future, I am sure that no one will raise the question that Tavrida should be paid,” Karpov said.
As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin personally opened the Tavrida Highway to traffic at the end of August . After driving along the Tavrida Highway in a domestically produced Aurus and flying over part of it in a helicopter, Putin ordered the construction of exit ramps leading to resort areas.
The Minister answered whether the Crimean Tavrida highway will become a toll road.
