Lyashko demands Gontareva’s blood due to the nationalization of Privatbank
Today, at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleg Lyashko (Radical Party) demanded responsibility of the NBU management for the situation with Privatbank.

“Today, for millions of Ukrainians who keep their deposits and savings in Privatbank, the main thing is whether they will receive their money. The key today is to protect the interests of these people, since Privatbank is the largest systemic bank in the country. The government’s task is to ensure that deposits are protected and that people can get their money,” Lyashko said.
According to the politician, the story with Privatbank shows the absolutely unprofessional and poor quality management of the NBU.
“The authorities tell us that Privatbank has a “hole” of UAH 150 billion, and that is why they were forced to nationalize it. But hasn’t the NBU leadership seen this “hole” before? Now, at the expense of the state budget, we must pay 150 billion UAH to cover the unprofessional leadership of the NBU. In any other country, after what happened with Privatbank, the leadership of the NBU, the board, the head of the NBU, would have to voluntarily resign. But we don’t see any reaction,” he laments.
“We demand responsibility from Gontareva, from the leadership, which has turned into a private feeding trough. More than 80 banks were destroyed artificially in order to take away property. We must pay for the corruption of the mafia - Gontareva and those who cover it up. We demand responsibility, we demand blood from the leadership of the NBU! What is happening to the banking system is a crime against the Ukrainian state!” Oleg Lyashko emotionally concluded his speech.
