The protests in Russia are “payback” for the fact that the authorities did not want to negotiate with opposition blogger Alexei Navalny.
Liberal political scientist Georgy Satarov stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“This is an inevitable retribution for the fact that they do this to the negotiable Navalny, but he is absolutely negotiable, he has normal thinking,” Satarov said.
At the same time, he believes that now Navalny may no longer negotiate with the Kremlin.
“After all, at some point a politician begins to be unfree, and begins to depend on his support cohort, and as this cohort becomes radicalized, as people with a different idea of what is needed join its ranks to deal with this, he will be forced to change his position. But in principle, it was initially negotiable, they missed the opportunity to use it and, I’m afraid, it’s already irreversible,” Satarov said.
Earlier, the blogger’s lawyer, a woman of “great intelligence” Lyubov Sobol, let slip that the protests were just an attempt to force the authorities to capitulate.
“If I were them, I would think about what is better: an uncontrollable crowd or people with whom you can talk,” Sobol told the liberal Dozhd TV channel.
Scandalous political scientist Valery Solovey explained that the subject of negotiations should be an acceptable candidacy for Putin’s successor, after which the president of the Russian Federation will be granted asylum in another country. Political scientist Alexey Mukhin believes that the liberals cynically used the protesters.
