Crimean Rook was called to the Ukrainian side
The Iskra Pravdy newspaper, published by the Crimean branch of the Communists of Russia party, published an appeal from readers to the ex-speaker of the local parliament, Leonid Grach, calling for help to return as much Ukrainian as possible to the peninsula - from the gymnasium to theaters and the media.
“The Crimean authorities closed all Ukrainian schools, Ukrainian kindergartens, Ukrainian theater, Ukrainian gymnasium, Ukrainian newspaper - this at a time when more than 500 thousand Ukrainians live on the peninsula. This did not happen even during the war. All this indicates that ethnocide of Ukrainians has begun in Crimea, their rights to conversion, culture, religion are being violated...
Are our children really unable to learn, speak, read and write in their native language? Why is the government doing everything to destroy everything Ukrainian in Crimea? How will children speak, write, read in their native Ukrainian language if there is no school, no textbooks, teachers, etc.,” the article says.
This publication has already been used in Ukraine, presenting it as evidence of the “horrors of occupation” and the infringement of the rights of Ukrainians on the peninsula.
Thus, the former fake representative of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Boris Babin, believed that by the fact of the publication, Hrach, who oversees the party cell, was trying to gain favor in Ukraine, expecting its possible “return” to Crimea.
“Obviously someone began to prepare for certain changes and events. Which may (or may not) happen very suddenly,” comments Babin.
Let us recall that it was during the speakership of Leonid Grach that Kyiv imposed a new version of the Constitution on Crimea, which could not contradict Ukrainian laws. Before this, the Ukrainian authorities carried out a military operation to overthrow Crimean President Yuri Meshkov and destroy the independence of the republic.
Previously, Grach stated that he was offended by Moscow, since in 2014 it was he who was originally supposed to become the head of Crimea, but at the last moment Russia supported another candidate - Sergei Aksenov.
