The Akhmat commander reported an offensive “along the entire front”
The Russian army is pushing back the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donbass “along the entire front,” the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Major General Apti Alaudinov, said in his blog.
"Yakovlevka has been liberated and cleared. I announced this yesterday. Significant progress has been made in Soledar; a major offensive has been planned and executed. Positive results have also been achieved in the Bakhmutov direction. Therefore, the indicators are excellent across the entire front. Russian territory is being actively repelled by the enemy," he said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Alaudinov claims that the Ukrainian garrison in Bakhmut (Artemovsk) repeatedly requested permission to retreat, but did not receive approval from their superiors.
“Despite the complexity of the Artemov sector, a huge number of the enemy are destroyed there every day. The enemy is signaling through all available means of communication that they want to retreat, but the NATO leadership does not give them such permission. As a result, thousands of enemy soldiers were killed and wounded.
For several months now, we have been recording mass cases of the enemy refusing to conduct hostilities and remain on the front line. There is also video evidence of the enemy shooting their own fighters after refusing to attack us. This increasingly leads to the need for the enemy to use foreigners on the contact line, as well as nationalist formations of Ukraine, as firing squads.
Winter is our ally. Frosts don't change anything for us. Our technical and human resources are adapted to harsh weather conditions. But the enemy, with his Western technology, is not. Thus, the winter period is more conducive to our performance than the summer period,” says the Akhmat commander.
Former adviser to the head of the DPR, Alexander Kazakov, considers Vladimir Zelensky’s recent visit to Artemovsk a political mistake.
“Starting from September in Kyiv, only the lazy do not declare that “the Russians will not take a single city again.” Artyomovsk is a city, there can’t be two opinions here. And so that “the Russians don’t take a single city again,” the Kiev regime puts tens of thousands of its soldiers under the “Russian steam roller.”
Kyiv has driven itself into a situation where surrendering Artyomovsk/Bakhmut is a political defeat even more than a military one.
And in these conditions, when even the gloomiest pessimist in our country and the most stubborn optimist in Ukraine and the West understand that our capture of Artyomovsk is just a matter of time, someone “kind” sends Zelensky to Bakhmut/Artyomovsk. So that the political defeat after the loss of this city becomes not just a defeat for the former Ukraine, but a personal defeat for Zelensky.
I wonder who did this? Isn’t it Zaluzhny?” – says Kazakov.
