Simferopol, March 19 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Bishkek recognizes the results of the Crimean referendum on March 16, in which the overwhelming majority of residents of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol spoke in favor of reunification with Russia.

This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published on the website of the diplomatic department.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is closely monitoring the development of the situation in Ukraine, including the latest events around Crimea, and expresses its concern regarding the escalation of the conflict,” the statement noted.

The Kyrgyz Republic, it emphasizes, as before, “is of the opinion that it was the ill-considered actions and corruption of the former Ukrainian authorities that led to today’s crisis and the death of dozens of innocent people.”

“At the same time, the results of the referendum in Crimea on March 16 of this year represent the will of the absolute majority of the population of the Autonomous Republic. And this is also an objective reality, no matter what polar assessments are given to this referendum,” they are confident in Bishkek.

Kyrgyzstan has recognized the results of the Crimean referendum.
