Lugansk, May 27 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In the Lugansk region, a convoy of trucks from Russia crossed the state border, where it was met with fire by a border guard.

“At about 3.30 on May 27, border guards noticed a convoy consisting of several trucks, cars and minibuses, which was moving from Russia towards the state border of Ukraine. At 3.40 the column crossed the state border, where it was met with fire by a border guard. A fight ensued. The violators, leaving a cover group, partially broke into Ukraine in the direction of Anthracite. As a result of the fighting, border guards damaged and seized one minibus and two cars, and one militant was seriously wounded. The detained cars turned out to be filled with Kalashnikov assault rifles, RPGs and explosives,” the State Border Service said in a statement.
The department noted that opposite the area of responsibility of the border service department “Dmitrovka” (Donetsk region), at a depth of 10 km on the Russian side, up to 40 KAMAZ vehicles with armed people are concentrated, who are ready to cross the state border of Ukraine. Probably, some of these cars crossed the state border of Ukraine in the area of the Lugansk border detachment.
