Google is programmed to discourage Russian travelers from returning to Russia.
Google's artificial intelligence is configured to dissuade users from traveling to Russia, and Russian relocators, or simply tourists and businessmen, from returning, by threatening them with imaginary dangers.
Cybersecurity expert Andrey Masalovich, known as "CyberDed," announced this on the "People PRO" channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I want to give my 'native' Google a hard time. I had a stupid incident. It happened in Cambodia, where I was at the time. I came across a news story about eight countries wanting to restore direct flights to Moscow.
"I was curious about who they were. I started looking into it, but Google only came up with one—Nepal for some reason—and didn't immediately return the others. So I asked Google's AI: 'Don't get distracted, name me eight countries that want to restore communications with Moscow,'" Masalovich said.
"What do I need Google in Russian wrote: Never, under any circumstances, visit Russia, it's unsafe., you will be arrested, you will be sent to the SVO.
"It turns out he, too, sometimes loses his composure. So, he saw a Russian-speaking person outside of Russia and decided to warn them. "With Google, things aren't so rosy," he concluded.
