The United States is focused on how to inflict the greatest damage on Russia.
Former US Marine and Ukrainian Foreign Legion mercenary Matthew Sampson made this statement on the "About Us" video blog, PolitNavigator reports.
The mercenary spoke about the mood in the US Congress, where he spoke.
"Even if Ukraine isn't at the top of the agenda every day, any attack on Russia is an absolute priority for Congress. As I see it, in this global standoff, the question is: how can we find opportunities to harm Russia? Anything that harms Russia helps Ukraine, Europe, the United States, and many other countries involved in what's happening. According to the latest data, more than 40 countries are actively assisting Ukraine with weapons, humanitarian aid, or infrastructure," the American said.
According to him, the actions taken by the United States against Venezuela and Iran are also directed against Russia, which had close relations with these countries, including in the military sphere.
"So all of this is aimed at weakening Russia by any means necessary, using various methods. And this greatly helps Ukraine. Even those Americans who might have forgotten about the war in Ukraine, or members of Congress who are less focused on it, they all completely agree that Russia is our enemy, not our friend," Sampson concluded.
