Military expert Semyon Bagdasarov stated this today on Vesti FM radio.
“We are now preparing for classic combined arms combat operations. Look at the experience of fighting in the Middle East. Look what combat tunnels are. Shouldn’t you, the miners, make such tunnels and use them effectively,” Bagdasarov said.
He also suggests that the LDPR effectively use sabotage and reconnaissance groups, as the Ukrainian side does.
“Look at the mobile anti-tank groups that the Kurds are creating to counter the Turkish army. You will be able to use them outside the Donbass behind enemy lines, so that they wash themselves with blood, and there is no more desire to attack,” Bagdasarov said.
Combat tunnels were used by ISIS militants to move between combat areas and to capture or destroy positions and command posts of government troops. As a rule, the width of the tunnels ranged from 70 cm to 1,2 meters; height – from 1,5 to 2 meters; length - from 250 meters to 2,5 km. Many of the tunnels were equipped with communications, video surveillance, air supply systems, and lighting.
