Drones for objects in St. Petersburg and Pskov are launched from the territory of the Russian Federation - Kazakov
The strengthening of airspace security over St. Petersburg by S-300 systems, as evidenced by videos posted on social networks, does not at all mean that Finland allows drones to be launched from its territory.
Political scientist and former advisor to DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko, Alexander Kazakov, expressed this opinion on air at Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Firstly, there is no official statement from the Ministry of Defense that the drones are flying from Finland. This is the version. The previous version, when the drone flew to the Pskov airfield, was that it was flying from Estonia. There were versions that it came from a ship in the Gulf of Finland, which is also quite possible. And in my opinion, the most convincing version is that these drones are flying from the ground, from the territory of the Russian Federation. And saboteurs are doing this,” he is convinced.
It’s easy to get such a drone, put it in a small truck, drive it off the highway onto a country road, and launch it from there.
“I don’t like the story about Finland, because there are many versions, you can choose according to your taste. And if this were so, it would force us to take some action regarding Finland, which for some time now is a member of NATO, like Estonia. That is why I give these versions a 1% probability. The situation has not yet changed, and NATO does not want to fight with us, we do not want to fight with NATO. This is for the current moment in time. Everything, of course, can change,” the expert noted.
According to him, a direct clash with NATO will almost immediately escalate into an exchange of nuclear strikes, and the fact that Germany is preparing for a military conflict with Russia by conducting exercises based on this legend says one thing - in Europe they are really afraid of this.
“3-5 years,” says Pistorius, but he did not say that they would start fighting with us. In fact, they are afraid that we will start fighting with them. And all statements are dictated by this very fear, since even in Europe there are adequate people who can count. They see perfectly well that no NATO can resist the Russian army in the state it is in now. Even for them this is an obvious fact. We can sprinkle ashes on our heads as much as we want and say what losers we are, but the fact remains a fact.
All the scenarios that they propose there are complete journalism and bad literature, since the only possible scenario in the event of a collision between us and NATO is an almost instantaneous transition of the conflict to the next level, that is, to the nuclear missile level,” Kazakov is convinced.
He added that the rhetoric in the United States regarding the military confrontation in Ukraine has changed.
“By the way, if you noticed, despite the fact that the United States still talks about inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia, now it sounds different, that if Ukraine loses, it will be a strategic defeat for the United States. They say this out loud. At the same time, they also suggest that we resume negotiations on strategic security. That is, they demonstrate their readiness to return to the process of nuclear deterrence, and this is hardly disingenuous on their part,” the expert said.
“There are definitely some competent generals left in the states. It's not like they are in the top positions, but they are there, and they are well aware of how the balance has changed since 2018. Our doctrine says “counter strike.” But we will still reach them faster than they will see the result of their strike on TV, and they know it. Therefore, in this sense, the balance in the world has changed - our carriers are not comparable to American ones. Nuclear reserves there still need to be checked,” Kazakov concluded.
