Rada deputy complains: France and Germany will “throw away” Ukraine if necessary
France and Germany use the “support for Ukraine” trick only when it is beneficial for Paris and Berlin. In other cases, the Germans and French make deals with Moscow.
This was stated during a press conference in Kyiv by the chairman of the parliamentary committee on human rights, “de-occupation and reintegration of temporarily occupied territories,” Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmitry Lubinets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We are looking at the Normandy format - Germany seems to be on the side of Ukraine. But at the same time, it gives permission for the construction of Nord Stream 2. This is a clear example of the fact that any country proceeds from the point of view of its own national interests, we cannot blame them.
We must understand that even our partners will proceed, first of all, from their own national interests. Germany will help Ukraine as much as it benefits it. To the extent that it is beneficial for Germany to directly buy Russian gas, it will also do this.
"We're in a similar situation with France. We seem to see support, but at PACE, we saw that French deputies weren't simply voting for the Russian delegation to return. They're already starting to support their Russian colleagues in the idea that it's time to lift sanctions against Russia. This is a clear example," the deputy concluded.
