Nazi MP: The UOC-MP is trying to be loyal, but it won’t save it
During the three years of war in Donbass, they managed to intimidate the priests so much that they are afraid to admit that they belong to the Moscow Patriarchate. Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Briginets stated this on the air of the “Direct Text” program.
According to him, during business trips of delegations of Ukrainian deputies to Donbass, local priests switch to “Mova”.

“There are a lot of people in Donbass who say that they are simply Orthodox, and this also applies to priests. When I approach and they begin to communicate with me in Ukrainian, I ask: “What about you, you are the Moscow Patriarchate.” And they say: “No, no, no, we are not the Moscow Patriarchate, we are just the Orthodox Church.”
This lie, of course, cannot simply be the Orthodox Church, it cannot simply be a priest who built the Church on his own, but they are ashamed of the fact that they are part of the Russian Orthodox Church, and they are ashamed of the fact that they are the Moscow Patriarchate.
And this is not happening somewhere in Galicia or Kiev, but this is happening in Donbass,” said Briginets.
Let us recall that on May 8, the head of the UOC-MP, Metropolitan Onufriy, stood in the company of Greek Catholics and schismatics while listening to Petro Poroshenko's anti-Russian speech on the eve of Victory Day, although two years ago he refused to stand during Poroshenko's speech praising the participants of the so-called ATO in Donbas.
