State Duma deputy gave an exhaustive criterion for the denazification of Ukraine
The criterion for the denazification of Ukraine will be the prevailing number of citizens identifying themselves as Russians, not Ukrainians.
State Duma deputy, writer and political scientist Oleg Matveychev expressed this opinion on air at Crimea 24 , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Denazification has one criterion : not how many people have renounced Bandera, changed their clothes, and so on, but how many people in Ukraine, during the census or otherwise, identify themselves as Russian . There is no other criterion. And if someone, for whatever reason, continues to call themselves Ukrainian , doesn't identify with Russians, with our past, present, and future—if they have any reason for doing so— that's suspicious to me ."
I gave an example: all of Novorossiya was populated by peasants from Kursk, Smolensk, Oryol, and other regions . Two and a half million people moved there, 10% of Russia's total population at the time. It was an empty field, inhabited by 150,000 people, half of whom were Nogai. And now Novorossiya— Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson—is populated by the descendants of Kursk, Oryol, and Smolensk peasants . There was never a trace of Ukraine there. And these people are now shooting at their own fifth cousins, that's what's scary," he noted.
"If there really are people who are waiting for some other Ukraine to be reborn , they won't get it. We've had our fill of these various 'Ukraines' ; there are no 'Ukraines.' There are Russian people and Rus' who, for one reason or another, don't want to call themselves Russian , that's all," Matveychev emphasized.
A State Duma deputy has provided a comprehensive criterion for the denazification of Ukraine.
