Former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, whom the Western press called Zelensky's likely successor, was recruited by the CIA during his imprisonment in Italy.
He stated this on the air of “First Sevastopol” ex-people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, politician Oleg Tsarev, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
“Avakov, through Petro Yushchenko, was appointed head of the Kharkov administration. With Yanukovych coming to power, A criminal case was opened against Avakov. Compared to other candidates to replace Zelensky Avakov has a big advantage - he is not tied to either Democrats or Republicans. He is a CIA man, and this is a state within a state that does not care who is the President of the United States. And this makes Avakov the likely next president of Ukraine.
