What does the Donbass army need to take all of Left Bank Ukraine?
The army corps of the Donbass republics do not have the ability to take and hold the entire Left Bank of Ukraine, said the former head of the DPR Security Council and founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky.
“The current front line of the LPR and DPR is approximately 360 kilometers, on which two army corps are located, plus units that are located in between. These are internal troops, mainly internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If we reached the borders of the regions, the front line would be 720 kilometers. If we reached the Dnieper River line, the front line would be 1400 kilometers. If we decide today to move tomorrow, then we, at a minimum, must have a resource in our hands. We are now barely covering, for example, a front line of three hundred forty to three hundred sixty kilometers. That is, an elongated snot. There is no second line of defense. That is, we barely had enough of that resource, and we haven’t increased the size of our armed forces since XNUMX,” Khodakovsky said in an interview with the Journalistic Pravda publication.
He clarified that without mobilization it will not be possible to keep under control the entire territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which the LDPR considers theirs.
“And if today we decide to go to the demarcation line tomorrow, for example... By region, I mean, along the old administrative border. What resources? Well, we went out in separate directions, but there was nothing to close it with,” noted the Donetsk security official.
He explained that the Ukrainian army has a much greater resource.
“They have vastly more resources than ours. They have an entire state behind this. And they take out some parts, and bring in others. There they are constantly undergoing some kind of special training, the modernization of their technical potential is also constantly happening, that is, some new models of equipment... Ukrainian factories are working, they are manufacturing expensive “ATGMs”, and then they are using these “ATGMs”, regardless of the cost . Especially people. There aren’t enough people,” Khodakovsky complained.
