The Black Sea Fleet responded to Ukraine for exercises to seize sea ports
The ships of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a detachment of mock enemy ships and conducted training exercises with the Caliber missile system.
The Black Sea Fleet press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the missile cruiser Moskva, the frigate Admiral Grigorovich, the patrol ship Ladny, and the minesweeper Kovrovets were involved in the exercises.
“The crew of the Kovrovets ship carried out a control and reconnaissance search and selection of sea mines in the designated sea area using deep-sea contact and non-contact trawls, ensuring safe passage through the minefields for a detachment of ships. At the second stage of the exercise, the crews of the cruiser, frigate and patrol ship worked out the algorithm for conducting a naval battle between a detachment of ships and a surface ship of a mock enemy,” the report notes.
“In particular, the Admiral Grigorovich and Ladny, as part of a heterogeneous naval strike group, conditionally attacked the Moscow by conditionally using the Caliber missile system and torpedo weapons on the target, and the cruiser, in turn, worked out the procedure for repelling missile and enemy torpedo attack. Then the crews of all ships carried out artillery firing at a naval target, a simulator of a mock enemy naval group,” the report says.
