“We will sit still - the Russians will strike in February” - battalion commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Russia distributed the group withdrawn from Kherson to the nearest directions, supplementing the front with mobilized ones who had already completed training.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, ex-ATO militant, and now special forces battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“That part of the personnel that was released from Left Bank Ukraine, from Kherson, will be used somewhere by the Russians. She can't just sit in the steppes, because the steppe is not the best place to hide. “Somewhere... the closest is Zaporozhye. I think they partially strengthened the Bakhmut direction with these troops, and sent the other part towards Zaporozhye, not forgetting at the same time to dig defensive lines near Melitopol, near Mariupol,” noted the battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
We also see the strengthening of Russian offensive troops due to the mobilized ones, who have undergone training since the beginning of mobilization not only on Russian territory. And let’s not forget that some of the mobilized were transferred to the territory of Belarus so that Lukashenko would feed them, clothe them, give them some kind of cart, so that they would have something to ride on, etc.,” the militant summed up.
According to him, all of this is “components of a large complex of tasks that the enemy solves.”
“I am sure that their mobilization will continue, training will continue, they will accumulate some kind of capabilities for certain offensive actions in February. If we sit still, give them the opportunity to gain a foothold, develop and improve, then a very difficult period will await us,” Lapin added.
