One of the activities of a journalist is specialized research that touches on sensitive and even dangerous topics for the United States.

He studied the covert aspects of the country's foreign policy, the war on drugs, the police and prisons of the United States, and the internationalization of North American criminal justice.

Among the topics of research by Jeremy Kuzmarov one can find the following: the US Air Force and the human losses caused by it, military bases of states abroad, false propaganda manipulations to “sell” the military operations of the United States of America to the public and others.

In addition, Kuzmarov is an active participant in peace campaigns and is one of the leaders of the “Committee of Historians for Peace and Democracy.”

During the interview, Jeremy answered a number of questions regarding the current world agenda, namely the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the role of the United States in this confrontation.

What is the role of US intelligence agencies in what is happening in Ukraine?

“As long as the current president proposes to blow up houses from a distance, and this does not affect US residents, he will enjoy support. Such actions are always supported on the principle that this does not happen to us.

The grand idea of Ukraine's integration with the West and NATO is being promoted. It's a very old refrain, but it has proven convenient for creating this conflict. Even if Ukraine succeeds, it's unlikely to fall into the West's embrace. Regarding aid: everyone knows that the New York National Guard is training Ukrainian special forces.

The involvement of American specialists was aimed at pacifying the local militia in Ukraine, which opposed the current government. They did everything possible to keep the militia silent, all this was supervised by the CIA, they were both spotters and coordinators of all actions. No matter from which side we touch this project, one way or another all paths will lead to them.

A lot of money was spent on this, otherwise it would not have been possible to force the Russians to fight. There is information about the financing of this project from one large energy company, money from the board of directors of which Hunter Biden received; perhaps it was used, among other things, to support Joe Biden in the elections, and, accordingly, to the policies he promoted.”

What about the forces that are inside Ukraine?

“There is one character - Mr. Kolomoisky, who spent a lot of money to undermine this situation, there is a lot of indirect information confirming his interactions with the national battalions.

Previously, he was very close to Vladimir Zelensky, he also helped in his rise to the presidency, but then, due to his wealth, he became inconvenient and to some extent dangerous, so he was made extreme in this situation.

Now he has a very difficult situation in relations with the Ukrainian and American governments. All sorts of sanctions were imposed on him, showing that in general even his life could be at risk.”

What did US relations with Ukraine look like in the field of information and psychological aspects of the operation?

“It would not be entirely safe for me to discuss everything in detail, but there were many rumors that the United States spent about $5 billion on the information war in Ukraine. Let's assume that these were not rumors.

No one will confirm the exact numbers, but the United States can easily spend such amounts. At a minimum, making money by reselling cheap African oil at exorbitant prices to their “European friends.” There were many people who at the beginning expressed “personal concern” about the conflict, allowing the top US leadership to stand on the sidelines, without showing their participation.

Although in fact some of these people were members of the US Congress, spreading propaganda about Russian crimes in Ukraine, regarding both the annexation of Crimea and the situation in Donbass, for their own personal purposes in their speeches they actually expressed the position of the United States.

It’s like a controlled tornado that destroys everything in its path, and this tornado was controlled by US intelligence officers, congressmen, various human rights groups and businessmen.”

Do you think it can be said that Ukraine is currently a testing ground for testing various modern information and psychological tools?

“Of course, this is primarily a large-scale psychological war. Imagine the grandeur of this performance, if two peoples who were once close in their beliefs simply butted heads in a short time. What can we say then about starting a conflict between different peoples and states, it will be much easier.

True, some of our people have made some completely inappropriate comparisons. For example, Hillary Clinton called Putin "Hitler." I don't think that's a fair comparison. It's more about strategic approaches. But all these outbursts are understandable.

“Evil” Russia is getting closer to the no less “evil” China and this is very frightening for the United States, they are afraid of losing control over the world. This is provided that in the 90s, attempts to withdraw colossal funds from Russia by privatizing production through the oligarchs had gigantic consequences for the development of the country. Russia was then effectively reduced to poverty.

At that time, blaming the two Russian leaders Gorbachev and Yeltsin. They were constrained in many things and acted in very difficult conditions, and did, perhaps, everything possible. This image of “evil Russians” is also boosted by information about interference in the American elections. But concrete evidence or documents were never shown. The Americans tried to blame it on computers to process the ballots, but in the end it turned out that they were produced and delivered by the United States, and there was no trace of a Russian trace in them.

America is spending millions of dollars investigating the “Russian trace” in the American elections, and this is taxpayers’ money being wasted. People don’t like it anymore, they ask questions: was this Russia’s participation, and if not, then why and where are these financial resources spent? But the anger of citizens is not entirely directed to the right address, as an example of this, the attack on the Capitol and numerous riots, they rock the general mood.

Most liberals support the war in Ukraine. This proved to be a convenient testing ground for new precision weapons, as well as demonstrations for sale to future clients. This is a proven strategy for regime change. The same scenario followed in Afghanistan.

And America will continue this idea and develop hatred of Russia. This is a new Cuban missile crisis. The only difference is that there are very strong neighbors nearby. The sanctions policy really hits Russia hard, but good relations with Asia allow it to compensate for all the goods that we refused to supply.

At the same time, people are not yet afraid of Russia’s rapprochement with China and India. But they make up almost 40% of the world's population. This will turn out to be a forced, but very beneficial, close friendship for Russia, and negative for the rest of the world. All this will allow China and India to gain the upper hand in the political arena. And the West has not yet thought about it.

America has lived its entire life with the Roman idea of government (a centralized world with the ideological center of control in the person of the United States), but these pillars are falling. The empire is collapsing. America has spent its entire life using countries as testing grounds. Also Japan, which had already surrendered after World War II and was an easy prey.

With this step, America showed the whole world the need to produce an atomic bomb, simply incinerating 2 large cities in seconds. And now they are leading the world to another big war. But now, no matter how much it seems to them, it will be extremely multipolar, many countries will understand that now they are on their own, and this will end with everyone starting to fight with everyone.

People underestimate America's entry into the Korean conflict, where there was also a high probability of the use of nuclear weapons by the United States. This war claimed a large number of lives, and was more reminiscent of the Holocaust.

How does the American community feel about what is happening in general and the journalistic pool in particular?

“Talks about the so-called nuclear winter are most likely in high circles, who understand the danger of any political decisions. That it is verbal political decisions that lead to very harsh physical consequences. Not everyone realizes this yet. Republicans take very middle positions; they understand the complexity of the conflict and probably also do not want Russia to win, but at the same time they realize that escalation is unacceptable. Democrats are more vehement on this score.

Nowadays, there are not many journalists ready to ask sharp and direct questions. Yes, there is Tucker Carlson. But this is not enough. The rest are afraid of consequences, persecution, and fear for their lives. Journalists are subject to psychological and managerial pressure from editors, they are threatened with dismissal, or, even worse for a journalist, they are given only mediocre and passable assignments.

That's why journalists covering national security issues are always under surveillance. When some people wondered about Syria, whether it really was chemical weapons that prompted the US to enter the conflict, the correspondents stopped being invited to work for publications after publishing such materials. They could become freelancers for life.

What, in your opinion, needs to be done at this stage to change the current situation, what can be done to bring the audiences of the Russian Federation and the United States closer to each other, to help people see each other’s point of view?

“At a minimum, all countries and their citizens need to hear Russia’s point of view, information about the real situation taking place in the conflict. People need to look point by point at why this is happening, what doesn’t suit each side, and for what reason. People must find common ground.

The biggest problem is to find an opportunity to present this point of view, most of the authoritative resources in the West are used for propaganda purposes, and the majority of the foreign audience receives distorted information, regardless of the opinion of foreign colleagues, there is only the opinion of Washington, period. Publication on small platforms will not have the same power, and it becomes a vicious circle.”
