Zmagar spoke about the terrible panic of Belarusians at the Zapad-2017 exercises after a joke by the Russian General Staff
The leader of the Freedom Party banned in Belarus, Sergei Vysotsky, said that the Russian General Staff allegedly cruelly pranked the Ministry of Defense of Belarus at the joint exercises “Zapad-2017”.
He spoke about this on the air of the Majlis television ATR, reports a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

“The Russians behaved incorrectly. There were constant provocative messages. According to the information that I have, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus was simply shocked when they learned that in addition to the discussed military units, the first tank army was included.
There was just panic there. According to my information, they could not find the leader, but in the evening a refutation came. Like, the Russian General Staff was joking,” Vysotsky claims.
Let us recall that earlier reserve colonel Vladimir Trukhan, a member of the working group on the creation of a Russian regional grouping of troops (forces) in Belarus, stated that President Alexander Lukashenko, during the Zapad-2017 exercises, conveyed information regarding Russia’s defense capability to NATO representatives.
Earlier, Western experts wrote that the Zapad-2017 exercises became a turning point in military cooperation between Russia and Belarus, because Lukashenko insisted on reducing the number of Russian participants and invited 5 observers from NATO.
