“We understand that there is some information blockade of messages from Crimea, a certain bias in the coverage of Crimean events. We understand that the Western media, unfortunately, have a very biased attitude towards officials who talk about Crimea. We invite you to talk with Crimean journalists. They were born there and didn’t come after 2014,” Zakharova said.
She believes that the teleconference will help Western journalists convey to their audience more objective information about the situation on the peninsula.
“We see all these reports. Unfortunately, all international reports about Crimea are compiled by those who have never been there,” Zakharova added.
