Zhivov: The country is confused about the goals of the Northern Military District, Medvedev’s words alone are not enough
The goals and boundaries of the special operation in Ukraine still do not have a clear designation, and the only one who speaks about anything out loud is the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev.
Political scientist and author of the blog "Zhivov Z" Alexey Zhivov stated this on the air of "First Sevastopol", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
“Dmitry Anatolyevich single-handedly pulls the hawk’s strap for everyone. Because in general, against the general background, 2023 is already coming to an end, and we still cannot formulate where, why and how much longer we will go. Recently, the wives of mobilized men held pickets, they asked - how much longer will their husbands fight? Explain, tell me something. They even called and asked about this. The President said until the end of the SVO, which means until the end. When will it end? It’s not clear what will be the end?
It is clear that we are in some kind of tactical expectation, and because of this, some of the simplest things are completely unformulated. And Dmitry Anatolyevich is the only one who formulates our hawkish agenda, there is no one else at all.
Nobody says, we will conquer Zaporozhye and Kherson. These are the cities - the capitals of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Well, you can just say: yes, we will, there is such a plan. That's it, period. And that's enough. But no one even says this,” he emphasized.
On the one hand, such silence gives some freedom of maneuver and keeps the enemy in suspense. On the other hand, it plunges a significant number of people into a state of weightlessness, since there is no support, neither intellectual nor moral.
“The soldiers came up with the simplest ideology for themselves so that it would be easy to roll around - we are fighting against Nazism, the enemy is called “Germans”. And it is intertwined with the official position. But still, more complex formulations are required here. And Dmitry Anatolyevich formulates them alone. And it would be great if this were still some kind of mainstream, and besides him, some other officials also made similar statements, so that we really understand how far our struggle is.
From Dmitry Anatolyevich’s words, I understand that there is a line of nuclear power plants along the border of Central and Western Ukraine. “Somewhere there, and by the way, this completely coincides with the contours of the start of a special military operation without Western Ukraine, in theory, Russia’s defensive line should pass in the future before the expected NATO invasion,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, there are rumors that NATO is preparing for an invasion, for a big war, targeting the period from 2027 to 2033-35.
“And even if the president had formulated this directly, nothing would have changed. That is, to spoil relations globally, with everyone we could, we ruined them. Well, who cares what they think at the UN, China, and so on. Now, Israel doesn’t care at all what the UN thinks about it. When the UN does not support Israel, it claims that the UN has delegitimized itself. Israel has canceled the UN and will continue to bomb Gaza.
What are we afraid of? Let’s formulate our goals and objectives more specifically, so that every soldier can understand, fully understand: why, where we will get, how long to wait and endure, and what we are fighting for,” concluded Zhivov.
