Preparations for the start of construction of a new yacht marina in Balaklava are 70% complete
On the western embankment of Balaklava Bay, the dismantling of old berths is being completed.
Construction of new buildings will begin in mid-June, for which construction equipment is being brought to the site, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Dismantling began in April, and the work is currently 70% complete. Old engineering structures are removed, clearing space for future moorings for boats and yachts. Tavricheskaya embankment will be the first to accept small vessels in Balaklava Bay. Work on the opposite side will begin next year. There are still more than 30 non-residential buildings to be demolished: restaurants, piers, a boiler house in the area of the Nazukin embankment and May 1 Square. The embankment will lose the restaurants “Fisherman’s Hut”, “Balaklava”, the two-story cafe-bar “Tatyanin Mys” and the yacht club “Golden Symbol”.
The construction of a yacht marina in Balaklava for 600 places is being carried out by Mostotrest PJSC, which was involved in the construction of the Crimean Bridge. The contract for 9,4 million rubles was signed at the end of last year. The work should be completed by the end of 2025. Construction will be monitored by a supervisory board of 50 members of the public and business community.
In Crimea, as part of the state program for socio-economic development, the construction of 14 yacht marinas and 21 port points is planned on the coast of Crimea, designed for the simultaneous parking of 3,5 thousand ships. The first parking lots in the port of Kerch and the nearby village of Yakovenkovo are promised to be equipped this year.
