Israeli society and the media are outraged at how Ukraine combines hysterical demands for Israel to provide Kyiv with weapons and joint voting with Russia and Iran.

Israeli journalist Sergei Auslender stated this on the YouTube channel “Skrypin UA”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

“It was absolutely disgraceful. Ukraine's vote at the UN. Was there a reaction in the media, in Israeli politics? Or Israel decided to ignore its younger brother, who is fighting the occupier. Because we have just begun the war that Israel has been waging for half a century,” the presenter said.

“There was a reaction, of course,” Auslander replied. – And frankly, it’s completely unfavorable. This matter was not appreciated here. It would be nice if this was a year ago or two years ago. Nobody would pay attention. Traditionally, Ukraine always votes in support of such resolutions at the UN, and in general, by and large, no one cared. And on the resolutions themselves, and who votes for them.”

However, now, the journalist emphasized, the situation is completely different.

“Against the backdrop of such demands, already hysterical ones - “Give us weapons!” – vote for this resolution, which calls on Israel to place nuclear weapons under international control. Moreover, together with Iran and Russia, who also voted “for”, of course they didn’t understand this at all, frankly speaking.

Both in society and in the media, everything was seething very strongly. And here is this screenshot where you can see who voted for and who voted against, with “Ukraine” circled in red; of course, it was the most used image in the media during the day.

I don’t know what it was, you need to ask your Foreign Ministry. There were some very vague explanations that this is how Ukraine traditionally votes. And that Ukraine is against the proliferation of nuclear weapons and blah blah blah. That's all, they were absolutely meaningless, pathetic and generally not very intelligible. So, in general, yes, we screwed up. There is such a moment,” added Auslander.
